Being a TKE Sweetheart was the experience of a lifetime. I will never forget all the crazy times. The brothers and sweethearts of TKE were amazing. The bond of the TKE chapter is something I would never want to give up. I am so glad to say I am a part of it. Tekes are true gentlemen and are one of a kind. Since I have graduated, I have watched the chapter to grow and am very excited. As I always used to say: "I love my TKE babies" (new and old). Being a Teke is like having a second family, and I would not change it for the world. TKE will always be a part of my life.

I enjoyed being a TKE sweetheart because I got to hang out with my best friends and also got to make new friends throughout the years. I also enjoyed the love that I received from each brother and the respect they gave me as a sweetheart! I love the Tekes because they are the nicest men I have ever met. They treat me like I was one of the guys and a princess all in one. They are also very loyal to their organization, and anyone who knows them knows they understand the value of staying above all else. TKE is an amazing organization that has taught me about love, charity and esteem. Each member in their own way has touched my heart, and I will always be grateful for the wonderful memories they allowed me to share with them.

It all started seriously sophomore year this is when I started hanging out with the boys a lot. I had a lot of fun partying and just hanging out.The day I got my letters was a very interesting day actually I happen to be very angry. I was mad about a mishap of a party, and a friend date with a TKE brother that was supposed to happen that wasn’t happening as was planned. So I called this brother many times and he was ignoring my calls: I was sooooo mad. Then I gave up so I went into my room and was watching TV then there was a knock on my apartment door my roommate answered and then called me. Then I was kind of sketched out when he told me to close my eye, so I did, he led me out in the hall and faced me in one direction. Where there were only two brothers and a letter shirt, they asked me if I would accept their letters and I said “YES”. I then got silly stringed all over my clean, nicely blow dried and straightened hair. I have had a lot of fun with these boys and hope to have many more in the years to come! TKE to me is a long lasting vow of friendship and family, which will never die! I am proud to wear these letters on my chest!

I first became acquainted with TKE during my spring semester Freshman Year, while pledging Alpha Sigma Tau. My pledge classes, the Iotas, were really close with the Delta pledge class of TKE, and we helped each other out a lot. Some of the men in TKE became my closest friends here at SLU and I just always made sure they knew I was supporting them, whether it was auctions, intramurals, or educational events. The men of Tau Kappa Epsilon are amazing and I am proud to say I am a Sweetheart. Love you boys!

Being a TKE sweetheart has been one of the most amazing experiences in my life. I met some of the brothers my freshman year and they were all very welcoming, then sophomore year when I began pledging Theta Phi Alpha I began to hang out with a lot more brothers and becoming a lot closer to all of them. Always supporting their events and being there for them is something I enjoyed doing because they are all good friends, nothing with them is ever a burden because I think of all of the brothers so highly. The day I got sweetheart was so nice, I went to RCB and Chad was talking and giving recognition to all the current sweethearts and while I was texting a friend from back home; and it was then I was announced as the newest TKE sweetheart. ♥

Being a TKE Sweetheart is an absolute honor. It has been a blessing getting to know these men. They truly are my brothers. I met a few brothers at my orientation and we became good friends, then my sophomore year when I was pledging Theta Phi Alpha, my best friend began to pledge TKE and that is when the bond began to form.
